MY05OBW - Converting RHS reversing light to fog light

Thanks Mr Turbo, that was what I thought / was trying to describe.
For obvious reasons, I will want my fog light switch to operate the opposite way. (As I dont drive an Hundai.:rotfl
If I get matching switches and covers I'll be able to do my fog light & be ready for the fan cut out as well!

I got to looking at the reverse light housings and they are deeper then I thought. I'm going to test fit the same bulb that my Legacy uses for head light. I'm planing to use the reverse light wiring and changing the plug to match the bulb and wire so both elements will light up. If All works well I will do a wright up for others to see.

Warning lights - switches and dash. 05 Outback.

Does anyone know if the Aussie or US Outback dash has the icon for rear fog light, as does the Euro model? If so I could illuminate the icon with a led from the fog light toggle switch.

Also Mr Turbo, what was your source for the illuminated toggle switch? Jaycar didnt have any illuminated switches compatible with the 'missile' covers.

I got the switch off my auto electrician when he did my fan cut out/off switch a couple of years ago.
