Drowned the foz today!!!!!!

went to me mechanic today to change we belts and water pump, so while it was up in the air i changed diff oil, engine oil and checked for water in cv's and stuff. i was stoked to see no oil in diff so me diff breather held up all good, no water in engine oil and cv's look good and dry. STOKED looks all good!!!!!!
Great to hear that no water got into those parts. :)
Sounds like you were very lucky indeed.

Looks like your snorkel & diff breathers did their job. :raz:

i used to work on a machine getting weed out of lake Illawarra. we used to run 2 1800 subaru engines,1 on each hull. for hydrolics and water sprayers. one windy day we turned up for work to find 1 hull went under and when we got it afloat. we dained the sump. get out the salt water which was sitting in it over a long week end. need to work on these engine easily so everything was basic. still with carbie and points. gave it a belly full of fresh oil and water. new points and condenser. the little 1800 splutted and ran. we got enough hours out of it to equal about 300 000 kms. in total we got in hours equal to about 1.2 million kms and the other 1800 that never drowned died at equal to 800 000 kms. the engines were started at 6 in the morning. ran at 3000rpm for 10 to 12 hours. so they aways got a good run. othe than a big diesel semi. i have never seen a petrol motor go so well and get so any kms
