Hi All,
Just wondering what the easiest way to replace the parker bulb on a MY06 Forester is? The bulb connector can't be seen within the engine bay but surely you don't have to remove the headlight assembly (which itself seems to require removing the front bar at a quick glance) just to...
I just recently bought a 2004 Subaru forester and I need some tips on what I need to upgrade on the Subaru and where good places in the winter are to go off roading
G’day guys.
I am doing some research into a 2” lift on my 97 SF Forester and have a few queries.
I think i will be going with:
KBY struts: Excel G twin tube gas shock [F- 3341 89/90 R- 3341 91/92]
King Springs (Aus): HD 30mm Rise [F- KSFR-32 R- KSRR-33 (req KBY 334191/2 struts on rear)]...
Figured a pic thread here for my wanderings would work, here we go.
I've only had the Forester for a few weeks but it's already an obsession! It's made the old haunts interesting again even.:iconwink:

Pics from old NC105, about 15 miles of gravel on the West...
Hi Guy's,
I'm just looking at some more rims for the Forester. While I would like to stay with 15" rim's I'm thinking 16" might be a better option plus then I have more choice of tyres aswell as rims.
I don't want to go too overboard but am looking at some genuine subaru rims over...
This isn't really a trip report, more of an update on the state of Cooloola Way in the north of the Sunshine Coast. I headed up to Rainbow Beach this way over the Easter break. I'd heard it was bad but couldn't find any details anywhere as to whether a Forester could make it intact. I have a...
Hi all. Was looking at buying a 2" strut lift kit from Hi-Rise Subarus and pairing it with standard King Springs to lift my 1998 Forester.
Firstly, does this sound like a good idea? Secondly, where is the best place to buy the King Springs (KSFR-28 and KSRS-33) from online?
Thanks in advance...
I posted this over at subaruforester.org, but figured it could also be of interest here...
From Melbourne to Mildura via the Calder highway, then out the Arumpo Road to Mungo National Park, then on to Menindee via Pooncarie and through to Broken Hill and Silverton. Finally back to Melbourne...
Has anyone put 15x7" wheels on an 09+ (SH) Forester?
I've already commented in a couple of other threads about this, but thought I would throw it open to the wind.
Have never done any sort of 'mods' before, so approaching this with some trepidation. I am "told" the 15x7 wheels will fit if they...
So we returned once more to GreenRidge State Forest in Western Maryland. Did a little spring camping with a bunch of friends.
When we got there we instantly got some bad news. The ORV trail is closed due to flooding and endangered plants! They are going to be relocating the trail in the next...
Recently I went on a driving trip from Sydney to New England. Day 1 fine as we reached Armidale. Next day, as we were heading out of Armidale in the morning (with outside temperature about 3 degrees) , suddenly noticed thermo needle past 3/4 mark and climbed up to nearly red zone within a few...
Hi,
Firstly apologies for asking a basic question. I am from Oz, my forester has done 30,000k and couple of cracks in Geolander G900 sidewalls are causing me concerns - looks like I gotta change all 4.
Enquired at Bob-janes, the G900s cost 240 a pop. Does anyone have suggestions for cheaper...
I have been towing a Coromal Silhouette wind up camper with my 2003 manual Forester. When we bought the van the dealer threw in a second hand set of 4 bars. The rig works well but the tail of the Forester dips a bit.
A salesman for Subaru told me yesterday that I should get the type of bars...
Suburu Forester Manual late 2002 160K on clock
Before i left on my BIG trip I had a new clutch fitted. Over the next 1500km the clutch pedal began to stick. This was traced to a worn slave cylinder in the hydraulics. Had that fixed then after another 2000km the stearing developed a wobble over...
