Sg9 surge

G'day brainstrust.
My 2004 sg9 forester has recently developed a surge when coasting in gear. It's like I'm rolling on & off the throttle.
Has anyone else had this & can possibly give me a short cut to what is causing this?

I had 2 causes that happened to me . Not saying this is the same as your car.
1. bad fuel. Really noticed this in a recent trip through remote areas. My car is a turbo though
2. Throttle body sticking. I had to get mine replaced around 180K kms

Sounds like a lambda sensor....
You shouldn't have these symptoms when engine is heating up, only when you reach the operating temperature.
