Recently I've been getting very excited by the King Springs catalogue and the KYB catalogue. My MY00 GT is getting a bit mushy on corners and makes some clunking noises on speed bumps. I've also noticed the dreaded rear-end is looking lower than the front which ruins the car's looks. It doesn't have Self-Levellers.
I will be replacing the rear struts and springs first, then I'll do the front.
The KYB Excel-G struts seem straightforward. The left side requires catalogue number is #334190, the right side uses #334189.
The King Springs have me slightly confused....they sell Low, Standard and Raised springs. My first question is this - if I purchase the raised King Springs, will they work with my new KYB Excel-G's? I don't want a strut/body lift.....just the best clearance I can get with standard components.
My second question is related to Heavy Duty King Springs - I've read on these forums that King Springs also do a Standard height Heavy Duty spring for towing and heavy loads etc..... I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know the part numbers for these for a 2000 Forester GT?
My third question is: Does anyone know what's less likely to bottom out offroad - heavy duty std height or standard duty raised springs?
Thanks!
