Pisgah Fall Meet '09 14 & 15 Nov. Western NC (Canceled)
Note; two Days!!!
First day, Sat. standard gravel and tarmac options. Sunday, off-road Brown Mountain OHV Park.
Going to try and mix it up a little. For those that have attended in the past, we will probably have a different meeting point, same time 10:00am, and do some different roads. I haven't figured that out exactly just yet, but I'll be working on that soon. We will attempt lunch at the Pisgah Inn, but that will depend on the number of attendees and how busy the restaurant is. Tough call during leaf season, we should probably be prepared for either that or picnic. End point will be Graveyard Fields, awesome place and be ready for just a little bit of hiking.
Brown Mountain (yes, this is a different link, trip report, than the one above) will be about an hour to the East of Asheville. Stock ride height Foresters should have no problem. A sump guard/skid plate wouldn't hurt, but I dont think it will be nesasary either. Depending on interest and where folks are staying we'll have to chose a meet point at a later time, but we should probably meet at 9:00am to get there and be able to enjoy our time. Plan on 11mi. of trail running.
Alright, open for questions and comments. I'm looking for ward to it.
