Fun Stuff!!! I raced 30 years or so ago, Hayden may race at some point in time. For now we just go out to the practice nights and ride and have fun.:)

Sweet! I used to race BMX bikes back when I was 12-14 (holy crap, that was half-of-my-life ago!). Oh the memories...

You were probably doing it more recently than I was, so things may not be so different. When we first went to the track a little over a year ago, I was like "Holy :censored:!!!" the jumps are about 4x bigger than when I was doing it.

Still getting used to the new bike, I've only had it out there once, but I might actually regain some skills eventually.

I remember those days at my local BMX Track.
The dirt, :) the dust, :) the thrills :) & not forgetting the spills :o

I never used to race though, I just did it for fun. :raz:

Trying to avoid that one, no health insurance. I've only gone down once, the boy has had a few but always gets up and keeps on going.:)
Last time I've tried a BMX track was about 4-5 years ago, on my wife's heavy (unused at the moment) mountain bike. Yeah, it reminded me of those great times when I knew no fear (i still have a general understanding of it, but now I know its not so distant cousin too, consequences :raspberry:). That was fun, til the point I had to land the bike after it'd gone sideways

I grew up in the Bicycle business and when BMX first got big we got into it early and HARD!. I tried running a 24" (tricked out Floval Flyer) Cruiser back then but I sucked so I just worked on and sold BMX bikes (and the bits). Until just a few years ago I had a rear axle washer from a Diamind Back 20" bike on my Keyring (I thought it was only fair to carry it around as DB paid my bills for MANY years).

I have a VERY NICE Fisher AL-1 (Aluminum) mountain bike at home that I can not ride (to be fair it is trick but it is a Dinosaur, it has Phil Wood hubs, bottom bracket and Deraileur Jockey wheels/Suntour "beartrap" pedals with Toe clips/Brooks Professional saddle/tapered roller bearing headset/Regina chain and freewheel and MUCH more). I blew my Knees out several years ago and I just can not pedal the damn thing so recently I bought an Old Fart cruiser (Specialized Globe "Carmel", the Bottom Bracket is forward of the Seat tube making it MUCH easier to pedal) to ride.

Getting old is NOT for the faint of heart!

Nice Felt E.J. even if you don't race, just go out to the track at the practice times and have some fun. Thats all my son and I do. I missed out all the end of last season because I took a part time job at the bike shop so I could cover for our local track director who had to be at the track for practice.:raspberry: Now that I have a 'real' job again, looking forward to getting back out there.:)

Unclviny; Phil wood is the man (or was, not sure if he's still alive:sad:) I've got Phil hubs and BB for my Mtn. Bike which I just got back from having the frame repaired, now I just need to bolt it back together and get ready for spring. Sorry to hear about the knees, hopefully your Old fart cruiser will work out.
