Can’t get affordable insurance with lift kit

Hi I’m writing this feeling very disappointed I purchased a 2 inch front lift kit and a 2 1/2 inch lift kit for my SH Forrester and I went to change my insurance policy and my current insurancer said that they will not provide insurance the benefit of this insurance is if the car is written off they will give me the full value and it’s a very fordable Insurance all the other insurance premiums are like double the price or they will only give me the Redbook value of the car which is less than half of what it’s worth as I’ve just in the process of rebuilding the motor not sure what to do with a lift kit now probably sell it online ?

It is said "you have to pay to play" and this is very true when is comes to insurance for modified vehicles.
