heey everyone
wondering if there are any pc gamers on here ?
we all have times when we just stay home and chill or heavy into gaming haha


myself - i run a gaming server and discord for a game called RUST

but if there are any keen gamers on here it would be cool to talk poop on discord when im on being mr admin haha

600+ hours into Snowrunner (thru Steam on a modest PC), and less than 60% done as we speak.

I'm not a 'serious' games, but have played on and off for more than 30 years. Dune, Doom, Doom2, Duke Nukem, all the Half-Lifes (except Alyx) several times through, all the Metros (except Exodus Enhanced - no RTX GPU yet) a couple of times through, a bit of Mudrunner - and probably a few more I have forgotten.

I'm happy to play the old games such as HL because I forget most of the details, so they are sort of 'new' each time.

Never played co-op so have not got into Discord.

ohh nice snow runner looks pretty fun !! do u play that in a sim setup or just keyboard and mouse
i play RUST and assetto corsa as far as newer games

of good old command and conquer and empire earth haha
 
I just play it with a modest PC at 1080 or 1440 and 30FPS, a 23" 4K monitor (I got it because my photos look nice on it), and a PS4 controller. The game seems to work best that way.

Some ppl use wheels, pedals and shifters, and complain how crap the game is because some of the controls doesn't work like a truck driving sim. (limited manual gear selection, goes into reverse if the brake peddle is held down) It's actually a really nice looking logistics puzzle game, with trucks. IMHO it's very difficult to play in 'cabin view' anyway, because you need to be outside the cabin to see they way around obstacles.

My kids played C and C, Return to Zork etc, but I didn't 'get' that sort of game.

I like the look of RUST - I think it's on my Steam wishlist. It looks like it might be like the Metro series?
 
I have played Dune, Doom, Doom2, Serious Sam, Wolfenstein, Silent Hunter 1,2,3&4, Soldier of Fortune, Call of Duty, Marine Sharpshooter, Sniper Elite, Far Cry plus a whole lot more single player war games. I don't play games anymore as my PC has aged too much to run the newer games, my motherboard will not let me updates beyond Windows 7.
I need to get myself a newer PC, but that can wait until we have built our new home.

Rwong - it's not much like Metro, and it was not on my wish until last night.
 
im pretty old myself..45 and im playing video games since ... well it must be 30 yrs now ... all kind of platforms all kind of games... it was racing games most in ps1/ps2 era because of gran turismo 1,2,3,4. all kind of open worlds. single player story only games . never play any online multiplayer, unless it has story solo mode as well.
snowrunner pretty cool ... spin tires original still good as well
forza horizon 5 very good ..
gran turismo sport ...
still play video games, still enjoying driving cars , still do poop i did when i was 25 or so ... dont feel much diff from back then .. just smarter , wiser , more chill now .
