Was thinking about a small trailer for carrying camping gear for longer, off grid camping or to just have setup and ready to go for short weekend trips. While trying to figure out what size Trailer would be best for my Forester I came across this handy information from the RACQ (Victorian Motorist Association). While Australian based It includes a handy checklist which I thought might be usefull for others thinking about the same. See here:

Your reference is certainly a good starter.

Tow ball mass can be measured with a bit of wood sitting on bathroom scales.
This should neither be too heavy, nor too light!
