Old Farts Club

Yes, I am getting slacker as I age..........
Joined that club several years ago. When SWMBO's SH had a flat recently, I had to get the RACV to change it. I could not lift the spare out of the wheel well. 4 Kgs heavier than the wheels on my SG.

Can still rotate all, including Palace, wheels (And put them back in correct place).
Apart from stuffed heart, cartilage free knees and the occasional gout attack I am in absolutely perfect health........

My god, you guys are walking wrecks like me.
Arthritic RH knee, lower back stuffed and Mild Cardiomyopathy.
We could start our own Club.
I still get out and play golf Mon & Wed, then suffer the remaining days. It sure beats the alternatives though. :lol1:

We've just spent around $16K on an 8Kw solar system, heat pump pool heater and electric pool cover.

I'm hoping to be able to swim 3+ days a week and do hydrotherapy about 6 months a year.

The solar power system should power this, and most of our other power usage. One and a half months since commissioning. The pool is now between 20-29°C (has to be over 25.5° for me to swim (Raynaud's disease ... ). It started at 13°C at commissioning.

So far, our electricity bill is half what it was, and the pool has been warm enough to swim since early October on many days. I expect this to improve as we properly enter summer.

Just looked up the price of our nearest public pool - about $10 per swim, plus car costs and inconvenience.

I consider myself very lucky in that I have, so far, never had any back or spine problems. Long may it last.

It should: 1637450808932.png
I'll do some testing later if necessary

Old fart here too. (I use that as my handle in RealRacing3). Born during WW2, too old for the Viet draft.
Mild cognitive impairment, cross eyed, 2 cataracts, mitral valve repair and a bypass, crook back, crook hip(s), crook knee, grumpy. Did I say grumpy?

But on the positive side you still wake up each morning..........

My Grandson's (2) call me "Grumpy Bear" and the youngest Grandson is called "Grumpy Cub", a chip off the old block. :lol1:

Now in WA and my gout has surfaced. Bloody annoying.
Get stuck into the Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother (1 - 2 Tablespoons) in a glass of water.
People may laugh, but it bloody well takes the pain away for me.
Truss Tomatoes are my nemesis, I strictly eat Roma tomatoes, I don't like the tasteless Gourmet variety.
