After 15 years I've gone back from BFG AT to Yokohama GO15 hoping they prove better than my first experience where I lost 5 to sidewall damage. I was very disappointed on my way home in the rain from the tyre shop; I couldn't spin the wheels like I could with the old BFGs in the wet! ;)

I put Bridgestone on SWMBO's SH (225/17 55). They are surprisingly good.

It's hard to go past 3 for the price of 4 at the moment. I got a set fitted about 2 weeks ago. Very happy so far, on road at least.

Next I'm considering the GO16 for the Triton

Those look nice! I'm currently tire shopping...I hate it...

After much consideration I replaced my worn out OEM tyres with G015s on my Outback earlier this year and couldn’t be happier. A key decider was Hhouston66’s report on this forum who used them on the Gibb River Rd. I took them Walhalla-Licola-Dargo-Hotham over Easter and they are exactly what I want in a single set of tyres.

I know the feeling. Good tyres incite faster driving. Bringing the youth back into you, I'm sure. Be interested to see how they go in the slippery muddy trails you'll be joining me on soon.

@subalex Looking forward to it - I think they would not be as good in mud as new BFG AT ;)

This thread comes in excellent timing - the 697 on my Outback is about time to replace and I have been thinking about the GO15 as the price is good with the current buy 4 pay 3 deal and relatively good reviews!!

Tried to order a set in 215 65 16 size & Yokohama don't have any stock left. Must be selling well or their limiting how many they sell on the 4 for 3 deal.

Tyres have been in short supply since COVID19; I've been watching for at least 10 months.

@subyroo I agree that the old Yoko Geos were not good - but I believe the newer GO15s are better as I'm going to find out having just fitted 6 of 'em ;)

Now that I've managed to drive in the dry I was a little surprised that brake response has noticeably improved. In the twisties the GO15s are very sticky. Happy so far!
