On the OEM strut I took out, there is a rubber base between the bottom of the spring and the shock, however none of the new parts came with one. Do I need this?received_2990407881189261.jpeg

Mine still has it along with King Springs.

Is it a separate part I have to order? Definitely did come with anything.

According to the SA suspension store, they don't make them anymore and I should use the old ones.

That’s weird that there is not a part number for this item. I’ve checked several vehicles and there just not there - and they certainly look like they’re a factory item. . I even checked the superpro website but couldn’t see a listing, but this could just mean they don’t produce them due to no demand. You could call Pedders and see if they can come up with anything. Now I’m keen to check out the SG in our family to see if the (most likely) original struts and springs are still in the front.

I’ve just put a set of rear insulators from superpro on our Pajero and I’m very happy with the way they hold the rear end up that little bit more than genuine units did (had new ones in there and they compressed quite a bit!). I’m yet to load up and see how it sits.

You don’t really need them it seems, my Brumby and L series don’t have them and the only purpose they serve is to further dampen any road noipassed through the suspension.

But if you ask around you might find an aftermarket item that fits the bill.

Cheers

Bennie
