It seems @broadbean wifey complains that his screen is too bright when they are in bed so I am experimenting with Dark themes :D

Select your theme by clicking on the current style indicator at the bottom left of the webpage

This will display the style options for selection

OR

If you click on your avatar top right hand side then select "Preferences"

Then from the "Styles" drop-down select "Default Black 2.2"

The click "Save" at the bottom of the screen and you will be admitted to a dark dark world! :)

It's in the rough atm :) I've never actually been a fan of dark mode

Not enough late nights coding... :)

Nice, but to be fair, she didn't complain. And if she did, I must've forgotten that part. ;)

At first I thought it was a font colour issue:

But then I noticed this website is responsive. If I decreased the width of the page it defaults to the vertical smartphone mode, where the avatar is moved from the left column to the top left of the post. When in that mode, the Profile's info including vehicle details disappear.

When the dark theme is selected, the info is just not listed under the Avatar at all, there is nothing to select. It seems it is a design choice for some reason.

Hopefully we're a tweak away from that option...

But it looks very usable for now, apart from not being able to tell a member's car's details. And while this preference is tucked away and account dependant rather than device, would be nice the option was easier to reach. The ability to set themes directly or depending on the device's own dark mode turning on would be great.

Thanks for indulging me, @Kevin! Would be interesting if more members find this useful too!

Man, I miss this forum. The black theme looks really soothing to my 10-hour per day RGB-exposed eyes!

I've gone back to the boring old plain theme as I like to see what peoples are a drivin'

It was a wild ride, that's for sure.
Exhausting running an "anything legal goes" forum. Our only rule apart from legal stuff was "attack the argument, not the person"
Making people (me included!) keep to that one simple rule took a lot of work,
Mind you, it wasn't all arguments. Pretty much ran itself otherwise.
Then Facebook came along.

It's very fortunate, and enjoyable, that the members here behave sensibly and maturely which cannot be said for many motoring forums.

Check out the "Style Chooser" bottom left of the webpage ;)

Handy! But on mobile, still can't see the vehicle details. That's ok though, if I'm desperate, I just need to rotate the phone in landscape mode and it's revealed that way.
