Camera gear and associated stuff

@Ratbag I have many thousands in camera gear too, and ski gear....and sunglasses😬
Other than my work vehicles, I'll probably never buy a car over $5000 again (inflation adjusted). I'd rather have more money available to make a cheap car, the way I want it to be

I would love to have proper camera just for zoom as i need that sometimes.
If you look on eBay, you can buy relatively new interchangeable lens cameras made after around 2012, with a couple of reasonably decent lenses for surprisingly little money.

I just bought an 'excellent condition' Olympus E-PM2 body only, in box, with two batteries, for AUD$125. In 2012, it retailed for around AUD$650. It still takes superb photos ...

I know i can buy used camera with good zoom for cheap. Problem is i wouldnt carry it around with me ,because it will be big will have its own bag and such... not pefect. Just sometimes when i see some animal lets say far in field or forest then i would want to have that zoom .
I would spend money on drone though. Like some DJI Spark. That has proper camera there and good stabilization. That would be interesting to try totally new angle on taking photos

@scalman This is an E-PM2 plus my 14-42 EZ auto-opening pancake zoom lens.

Compact Camera Meter E-PM2 + 14-42 EZ

I also have a very compact 40-150 and a fairly compact 75-300 MkII that fit this tiny body.

Being a smaller sensor than full frame, you need to multiply the focal lengths by two, so they are similar angle of view to a FF 28-600mm set of lenses

@Ben Up North totally, and they only get more reliable with less mechanical, and more electronic bits. Mechanical shutters won't exist soon (I rarely use mine in my mirrorless cameras anyway). With that, cameras will last so much longer.
