Hi Guys!
I hope who you are fine and also your families!

In this period i'm thinking to lift up my SG '06 2.0 X with an ADF lift kit (this kit) 2" rear and 2" front.
My setup is with new SLS suspension and stock kings springs on rear and, for the moment, on the front i've the same stock shocks and kings springs (but i have yet bought a new set of KYB shocks that i want to mount with the lift kit).

What is your opinion?Maybe is best to use a 2-3/8" on the rear and 2" on the front? Some problems with the stock SLS and kings springs?
Thank you so much!

I believe this is a problem because Kings do not make springs for SLS if I recall correctly so your SLS strut will not work properly; you will need to change struts.
I can recommend SubieLiftOz lift kit from @NachaLuva and he would be best to advise front / rear heights for his kits.

i'm sorry: NOT KINGS BUT SPRINGS

Someone have others input?🥺

Also KYB do not make SLS shocks. So you would need to change stock SLS rear springs to normal springs if you want to fit KYB.

Just on the topic of height, 2"F/2.5"R seems to be very popular as it accommodates the butt sag thing when loaded. (looks kinda cool when unloaded too in non SLS setups, not sure if SLS behaves any different).

I'm going to put KYB shocks with stock springs on the front, on the rear i have the originals SLS suspension.

My doubt is if the lift kit can be mounted with SLS suspension....and what height is the best compromise.

If I were you, I would get rid of the SLS before doing anything.

When my SLS clapped out on my 2006 XS, I kept my perfectly good OEM fronts, and replaced my shagged SLS with Pedders variable rate heavy duty struts/springs. Improved the ride, handling and high speed handling considerably.

I would also recommend SubieLiftOz by @NachaLuva - beautiful work, and he does international shipping.

I think @eldi has only just put new SLS in...

And if they're prepared to dump brand new suspension, may as well put in hotbits!

I forgot that ... :( .

There are limits, Ben. If you need a SWB Landcruiser, don't waste money on trying to turn a Forester into one!

It can be but your weakest link will be immediately the SLS suspension. SLS struts perform cool when working well but when they break, it's just a pain. Standard struts and springs first before lifting. Cheers.

Thank you @ABFoz ;) Thank you all guys!

For the moment no lift kit...maybe on another Forester :cool:

That's the ticket! Put it on the market with it's nice new shocks (it's a selling point!), and look to pick up something with saggy but suspension.
Pay a pittance theoretically, then go for it!

my 7cm 2.8'' lift spacers are mounted on SLS rear struts. even without arm spacers, so i went extreme and its still holds, and i dont drive slow.

Wow @scalman :bananatoast::Bacon:
This is a good news!!!!!!!!!What type of lift spacers have you mounted??

just lift spacers i made myself , same style as everyone makes , in front with camber offset. first i made 5cm then added to that another 2cm.
