Changed a timing belt today

I approve. A bangin' double entrendre!

@subyroo Indeed Peter! Tell you what those belts are tough; had a hard time cutting through with shears and then bent the arm of my leather punch tool when making the holes! I'll have to use a drill next time I replace it - in 100,000 beats :)

Indeed - I would put it in a vice I think and drill pilot holes first

Does it give you a more positive kick? (Serious question from a sometime bass dude)

Have not tried as yet.

I'll be honest when I changed the belt on my Forester earlier this year I had a hard time throwing it in the bin, I just kept thinking this thing looked useful but I have to manage my tendencies to hoard things so it was tossed out anyway.

I had a hard time throwing it in the bin,
Mine's floating around in the back of the car. Has been for a year or so now.

Tried it now - doesn't feel any different; but the timing is perfect
