I have not heard of that bit of hardware before Mike

Any thoughts or anyone done this yet?
Yes, it has been reported that the wobble is present in lifted CVT Foresters but many just tolerate it. It occurs at around 18 mph or 29 kph, especially under load, as the CVT drivetrain mounts seem to articulate more vs 5EAT and 4EAT ones. Under load and when there's too much torsion on the CVT mounts, stress is also transferred to the front CV axles so it's a double whammy!

60D for me is the best option if you have the stock genuine rubber mounts, as it is closer to the factory hardness. One of the SK's advantage over the older models is its car-like NVH. 60D will preserve it while 75D will almost eliminate it.

It's a relatively new add-on or modification.

I know one mate from the US who had his SJ lifted by the dealership for warranty purposes and reported the drone/wobble at around 18 to 20 mph. He went back to the dealership and they said they were informed of the same issue from other dealerships and mechanics. The engineers both from Subaru of America (SoA) and 3rd party found that there's too much torsion on the CVT mounts when lifted causing the hopping/wobble. SoA won't make those inserts so some companies in the US and EU started making those. Cheers.

Have you bought the lift kit yet? There are better options that provide better handling & better reliability

TRANS MOUNT INSERT:
When you accelerate hard esp in 1st, the large amount of torque tries to twist the transmission. With soft or worn trans mounts, this lifts one side & pushes it further away from the wheel, so you get more CV angle plus it stretches the CV. It's a double whammy! This causes the dreaded vibration/wobble. The trans mount insert fits inside the OEM transmission mount to stiffen it up so this doesn't happen.

I bet I know who!

Don't forget:
Imitation is the sincerest form,
Of flattery.
(and if you acted out,
the way you feel,
It could result,
In charges...
Of Assault and Battery)

That's almost a poem.
:D

(Edit #4 getting closer..!)
(Edit #5 annnnd now it's going backwards. I shouldn't write on forums after drinking around at a mates place while watching Planet America and discussing the state of the planet.)
