Hi all.
I know that the 15inch wheels I have off of my 2006 impreza will not wit straight up. I can't afford to get a full new wheel and tyre set as I just had my transmition redone. (Wanting to fit the 15s because they have A/T tyers) any tricks to get them on there? This will not be a permanent solution just one that can get me on the tracks for a bit. I know this is a big no no BUT will 5mm spacers make them fit or do I need bigger ones? Like I said not a long term solution just really want to get the car on the tracks with those wheels.
Thanks in advance

i went to measure mines and i put some old forester steel 15 rims and put in front and its just fits .. like just just ... if they would do balancing they cant use those inside balancers then because it would touch that. but in all it was fitting
then i tried 15 aluminum ones and that was good too in front. so dont think foresters had there larger front brakes on those years yet. after facelift models i wouldnt fit there 15 rims anymore. but for now im good. you there should be too i think. maybe grind some just to be sure.

@Kyle This is what I did. (must copy the thread over here!)
Kevin, man, you wheel hard! Those old G012s didn't have a good reputation. Some countries call them Geosquealers. It's a good thing the G015s now are highly rated.

Regarding the caliper clearance. I noticed that my JDM front calipers for the 294mm rotors are a bit tapered vs the NZDM one, which is why I was able to fit the SRX 15s during testing last year. I will see if I can get scale photos for comparisons when I visit the wreckers. It can be a while though as most NZDM Subarus are still on the road.

Yes the older generation of Geolanders were not good and I've been BFG AT ever since. I'm in need of new tyres soon so considering my options again.

The thing to note will be brake differences between NA and XT models. I believe the SG XTs have a slightly bigger brake then the SG NA. I know @Liberty Valance is running 15" Pepperpots on his XT. I think he had to shave the calipers a bit to make it work

This is the JDM SG5 X20 Dual-Range 5 speed manual EJ20 with factory 15s that fit straight into at least the naturally-aspirated SG5s.The tyres are the usual 205/70 R15 size found on the SFs.

Not sure if you can get the wheels easily in OZ.

@ABFoz
Any idea how heavy those wheels are? I don't wanna go the normal route with the rally wheels that have a 15 offset

Around 14.5 to 15 lbs or 6.6 to 6.8kg. The weight range is applicable to the 15" wheels during the late 90s to early 00s. I was told though by a local Subaruer that those 15" wheels may be a tad lighter. Cheers.
