Thought I would post this question over here regarding a suspension upgrade for my 06 Forester. Am looking for a place in Mackay Queensland, a member from SF.org suggested to stay clear of Pedders as they have had bad experiences with them. Aside from Fulcrum suspension, are there any other places in Mackay which fellow members would recommend checking out?

Cheers guys

What are you considering re suspension upgrade? Just replacing existing or looking for lift?
If you want to go extreme Hotbits seems to be the solution.
Otherwise a Subie Lift Oz kit is the go I think. @NachaLuva may know of other Subie Lift Oz purchasers in Mackay and who they used to put it in.
If Mackay is anything like Cairns, it's a bit of pot luck finding anyone who's good with Subarus.

I am extremely happy with my Pedders variable rate heavy duty struts after the SLS in my 2006 Forester shat itself.

Handles and rides better than it ever did.

Everyone here can guess who ;) and I'll say it again, if you really want to go offroad, if you really want to handle corrugations and rough roads while carrying a load then forget Pedders. They're probably fine for cruising suburbia, as I found, but no good in the hard stuff. A very brief recall of my experience is here:

I too have pointed to the Hotbits setup; which I would most likely do if I was starting out again:

But my recommendation is SubiLiftOz coupled with KYB-Excel-G struts (or similar) and King Springs; let's see what Nachluva has to say when he chimes in

Pedders at least in our country just rusting so fast, paint comes off and rust start getting on new struts and springs.
KYB's no problem.
