People say its ford answer to wrangler. If so then real hard axles and low range ,lockers and such
. Or it will be just city warrior?

Just rendering how it might look

The codenamed U725 Bronco will be available in two and four-door configurations and is based on an updated T6 Ranger platform which promises to be capable of taking in some serious punishment. For the off-road minded, it’s expected to utilize electronic terrain management in tandem with independent front suspension, plus a solid rear axle with coil springs and struts doing the work out-back.
Customization is key for the new Bronco, with more than 150 different accessories reportedly being on offer. The Blue Oval has a variety of patents ready for the Bronco, including a modular grille assembly that can allow for a host of electronic equipment such as winches and lighting, a light-weight removable door system with built-in door tubes, while multiple segments of the roof can be removed too.
Under The Hood
Powering the Bronco is believed to be a 270 hp 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder petrol, or a (rumored) 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6. The latter, used in the F-150, pumps out 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque – although it remains to be seen if output would remain the same. Power will be sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission, and it’s tipped a Getrag seven-speed manual will be available as well.

Looks good. For me, I usually put vehicles with a solid front axle in an entirely different category. If this is based on the Ranger, it may not have that. So if it will be released on the market, it will most likely rival the Pajero Sport, Fortuner, Everest, etc. I like the short wheelbase one, though.

Real pic. Looks too much like others to me and not beafy at all not brutal. For familys.

So its sport model , to compete maybe with like jeep renegade. Doesnt look cool for me

Didn't I read somewhere that it's based on the Australian Ford Ranger / Ford Everest?

They saying its based on updated T6 ranger platform

Hmmm, if it's based on the T6 ranger, then it must show the same body height as the Everest. The body may be a bit too low for a body-on-frame but maybe there's technology there or maybe they meant to lower it anyway

Here's the T6 platform Everest, for reference. It's looks much more aggressive than the Bronco Sport.

I think the photo above is the Bronco Sport which is based on the Escape. The black one is based on the T6 Ranger/Everest. The T6 already has so many accessories from Australia and Thailand.

It looks quite nice for a big 4x4 but I don't think it will ever come to Europe and it would probably not even fit our narrow trails....!

Well small bronco sport maybe will come and will fit.
Price is about what wrangler cost for base models.
Its kinda interesting to see while wrangler went 2.0 turbo engine this still went bigger engine as option and no hybrid nothing like that. Just pure petrol. No diesels too.

The Bronco will come stock with a 4 cylinder 2.3 turbo or an optional V6 2.7 twinturbo. In the US, the Wrangler comes with a 4 cylinder 2.0 turbo, a V6 3.0 petrol or diesel and probably soon a V8 6.2 petrol....more choice with Jeep but I'd still take the Bronco.

I would take bronco too just for looks.

Yawn. Too big, too crude.

(y) I agree.
Although lately I've been thinking about Iveco Dailys, that's more of a tiny house idea though.

interesting how much capable is smallest model Sport. it looks like forester size but have much more options for off road

maybe its because those wheels. just modify it a bit put nice wheels and then it could change. for me at least wheels can make car ugly or look good.

The Sport is just a small CUV re-badged as a Bronco. It is in fact a direct Subaru competitor.

The actual Bronco is a direct Wrangler competitor. Ford apparently made it their goal to beat the Wrangler paper numbers in every category including front wheel travel even though the Bronco is IFS.

Basically, the US market now looks like this:

Rock Crawling oriented: Wrangler, Bronco, everything else far behind.
Desert Running/Open Spaces oriented: Ford Raptor, Ram Power Wagon, everything else is far behind
Adventure oriented/overlanding/more Australian-style: 4Runner, Toyota Tacoma
Light-duty: Subarus have really kept gaining ground here to the point that Bronco Sports and the like have to look up to Subarus. Finally, Bilstein is even offering monotube shocks for Subarus which Rallitek matches with springs. They are basic compared to the Bilsteins I have on the 4Runner, but that's a revolution coming from the worthless stock twin tubes.

The Bronco may prove a pretty good desert runner but its cargo hold remains not competitive against 4R and Tacoma. Plus, the complexity of Fords is real so that's a concern especially when being solo. Ford trucks are pretty well built but I would much rather rely on a Toyota or, after that, a Subaru.

It is important to understand that the enormous majority of US 4x4s included heavily modified ones are not seriously used offroad. Looks rule!

The baby Bronco is more than just an Escape with a new skin. It has a locking rear diff, and kinda has a crawl ratio...slightly outdone in hearing by the Renegade If it had a better crawl ratio and side swinging rear door with tire mounted, I'd very likely be buying one. It also has great approach and departure angles.

Love an Iveco but not sure I could handle the 20 inch rims and tyres. Too weak and decrepit these days.....my 16 inch are heavy enough for me. Takes me
half a day to rotate all 6.
