Hey all, after putting my 2" Adf lift and a/t tires on my 04 Forester, my brother now wants to lift his 03 Outback and get larger a/t tires as well.

Unfortunately for him, all my knowledge is 02-07 Imprexa and 03-08 Forester, since i own a lowered 05 Wrx and lifted 04 Forester. So, i know dont really know much about Legacies/Outbacks/Bajas and their multi link suspension.

For my gen Impreza/Forester the general consensus is 1" is max lift without rear trailing arm spacers, 2" (plus trailing arm spacers) is max lift without full subframe spacers.

What are the "max" lifts for my brothers 03 Legacy Outback?
1" max without multi link spacers?
2" max (plus multi link spacers) without full subframe spacers?

Trying to figure out at what amount of lift the multi link spacers are required, and at what amount of lift full subframe spacers are required?

Thanks everyone!

Yes, for your '03 BH Outback, you can do a 2" or 2"/2.5" lift kit with multilink spacer kit.
215/70/16 ATs will fit on stock rims. You can go bigger but will need to get out the hammer

Try a SubieLiftOz lift kit this time. Better camber & caster correction, fully braced trailing arm spacers not separate blocks & FREE express shipping to the US

@NachaLuva
So basically up to 1" without multi link spacers, 1-2" without 1-2" multi link spacers, and 2"+ with full subframe drop?

Deleted.
a bit pointless after consideration

its better to go without trailing arm spacers for some time then to go with those craps that was in pic. im still driving without trailing arm spacers... i was doing that for 4 years on my 2001 and nothing happened there. but yes you need those trailing arm spacers in rear to make all leveled . but only if use proper spacers not some rubish.

The ADF multilink spacers for the Outback seem to be separate pieces

yh i saw too they call them multilink spacers not trailing arm, do they for same place ? if so then separate peaces should work too . bu sure its better one peace and best i think its one peace like those

still others just selling those as trailing arm spacers , if they wouldnt work they wouldnt sell those do they ?

but no matter what its not hars to weld those together still . stuff that i will make for myself would look something like that

It's still nice welding, even if you didn't do it!!

My welding sucks - I'll have to take some lessons from Nachaluva!
