First, we have the locker. Now, Subaruers got the attention of Warn.

There are rumours that there will be one for the Forester but it may just be for the SGP one.

I like the idea that Warn designed it to be as flush as possible to the black trim in the bumper.

Nice! :)
Heavy. :(

Yup, nice and heavy. I don't think my wheeling warrants it yet, though. Most of the places I track do not have trees to winch to. Our North Island forests are closed and some tracks in them are to be booked with the local council.

I almost never used the winches on our previous 4wds even in the forests, by the way. I am OK with my recovery techniques, at the moment, although, having a winch is more like increasing the premium of one's off-road insurance policy.

I agree. I reckon for subarus the go is putting a trailer hitch receiver on the front of the vehicle, then mounting a winch that can be stored in the the ca, and used on the front or the rear.

While a great idea the vehicle would need to get an engineering certificate and that of course is expensive. (unless you hide it!)

Man, certs are expensive, especially here. We have the oldest fleet among OECD countries and I can understand why they want to keep cars as stock as possible, structurally, and people always tend to overdo modifications.

Good thing Subaru's are good on- and off-road when stock.

Also, recovery boards do wonders when partnered with a shovel!

For outbacks as well

Wonder more details about where it mounts to.

And why it shouldnt fit older models? Just maybe need new holes to bolt it on there.
