I recently visited mid west New South Wales and while we hear many stories about the devastating drought we do not often hear about the effects of the wind-driven dust that is generated as a result. Living in conditions where cleaning after each dust storm is next to useless must, on top of the drought, be very depressing!
A section of floor showing cleaned / not cleaned:
The big shed; now you see it:
Now you (almost) don't:
The Triton in the shed overnight:
How it looked from inside:
and these conditions are mild compared to a severe dust storm where it gets so dark that lights have to be used inside the house during the day!
So when sitting in our comfortable dust free homes spare a thought for the farmers who are doing it really tough atm.
