Hey everyone, I finally decided to order Adf's 2" strut top lift spacers, 2" rear trailing arm spacers, and their extended rear lateral link braces for my 2004 Forester.

Is there anything else you suggest to go with my 2" lift?
Longer front swaybar endlinks? Longer brake hose brackets? Etc?

Really dont want to install the lift and put too much tension on sway bars, brake lines etc.

Thanks everyone!

I would say that after lift sway bars will be allways on tension.
There are spacers for them too or find longer links then oem

Brake lines must be similar from subarus i didint needed do anything to mine with 2" lift

My lift came with a completely new extended front sway bar and extension pieces for the rear sway bar links. (SubaXtreme stopped making these kits many years ago)

That sway bar link extension would be very, very handy, although if I am to install it here, I will need certification, as well.

Hi 4EAT05,

When I lifted my Forester with 2" ADF parts, I had to modify my exhaust a bit. When I raised the rear suspension one of the exhaust pipes was pressing against the subframe, causing a LOUD noise all the time. A quick visit to the local muffler shop and $75 solved it.

It was a bit difficult to access the large bolts and nuts in the rear lift spacers. Make sure you've got some good quality large wrenches and sockets with a cheater bar.

Otherwise I didn't need any parts. Good luck!

^That too. There will always be parts that need to be adjusted after any lift but they are a change-as-you-go thing as there are minute variants. Oftentimes, transmission mount inserts are used for Subarus to reduce strain on the front CVs when accelerating.

By the way, welcome to the forum @T-Steve!

Idealy go with extensions and then some sway bar link quick disconnects

ive definitely seen people using these inserts

Yeah i def plan on trans mount/bushing and rear diff mount/bushings (have them and love them in my wrx)

Any suggested longer front sway bar endlinks? Adjustable my only option there?

you can get generic swaybar endlinks which you cut to size.

This sort of thing

Looking like i may go with Rallitek hd rear endlinks (plus adf's extended lateral link braces) and Rallitek hd adjustable front endlinks... unless i come across some non adjustable fronts that are 1" longer than stock

I have ADF 2” front and rear, and 2” trailing arm spacers.
I completely removed my rear sway bar, and have been running without the front end links installed for the past year. There are two things I have noticed:
1) with just myself and my normal gear in the car, it was completely acceptable
2) with one or two others in the car, I noticed it handled a little funny

I recently installed rear King standard height springs and new Moog replacement fronts. The Moogs are somewhere around 10-15% stiffer than stock, based on wire diameter and coil count. It all came together nicely. I also have a trans mount insert (4eat), which I highly recommend.
