My HN7 was dying straight away when not plugged into a power source so I replaced the battery which was easy enough; just removed the 4 tiny screws holding the unit together, snipped the wires from the old battery then joined, soldered and heat shrink covered the wires from the new battery . I used a Polymer Lithium Ion Battery (LiPo) 3.7V 2000mAh product # CE04378 from Core Electronics $22.90 with tracked delivery. This has more capacity than the original battery. It's now a very happy GPS and a very painless process!
