i like look of it most, more then any wrangler , jimny, G wagon or any other off roader. yes no frame and no hard axles anymore, but its build mostly from aluminum and have lots plastic. but looks amazing

Well....hmmmmm ! I don't know why there are panels on the lateral windows, its not very good for visibility. And I would've liked the rear better if the bigger lamps were at the place of the little lamps, and by the way, whats the point with those little lamps ?

whats wrong with little LED lamps that can be way more bright then normal old bulbs ? they small , harder to hit and brake. i like it . But its more about taste i guess.
cool that 3rd seat, for child sitting or just for free space to put something like maybe small fridge , or just for passing trought to other side. or just put there thin person

Doesn't really look like a Defender does it! More like a Discovery

When I was watching a video, I double-checked that I wasn't watching a video about the new Discovery. Haha.

Look at the price. Double check resent LR reliability history and... just stop it. This plastic wannabe offroader poopbox not worth your time.

i was meaning for looks too. its looks just good. all those details and white rims i like a lot. and its new car new systems so you cant know it will be bad because you just dont know. maybe they will just go that next step into future.

Country pack , because we need those mudflaps , no ?
i like all stuff that included in it . cool for camping and some offroading.

I just don't know how I've survived offroad without a "scuff plate"

It's still a Landrover, so like it's predecessors it will leak... oil. :raz:

On a more serious note, non subaru owners knocked the early Foresters for being "boxy", I wonder what those detractors will have to say about this one? :catfight:

When I had my Rangie I reported an oil leak to the service manager and his response was "Well what do you expect, it's a truck!"

yh what you expect ? i have oil leak after everynight on ground under my subie. infamous head gaskets what you could do ??

And a token black man. Someone has to pack the kit away.
(not saying that the Ad is openly racist, but how unbelievably white was everyone else in the video.)

Regarding the new defender
1/ I wonder if they will make a truck cab
2/ Land Rover never guaranteed the old Defender from water leaks in its body so water would come in from every where.
I wonder if the new one will have .
3/ If your old Defender is not leaking oil , it means there is no oil in it !

It looks OK. I like the fact that the dashboard is part of the alloy unibody, as well as the coil spring option. If the air suspension breaks down 1200 km away from the nearest service station, it will be hell for the user.

There's no doubt about Land Rover vehicles' capability, even the luxurious ones (Well, this Defender is also part of the luxury ones as it is no longer as utilitarian as the older version). They just have so many things that can break. It is understood because they are on the bleeding edge in terms of technolgoy. They were the first to use traction control for off-road purposes, the first to use large diameter coil springs, etc. For me, they still want to keep their sort of capability while serving the luxury car market.

We had a Disco lose it's rear air suspension in the middle of the Simpson Desert; by the time we got to Birdsville it was in a sorry state with cracked B pillar, smashed contents etc

That would have been a proper nightmare. Did you get to repair it?

I am not sure if Land Rover owns the design limitations of the air suspension but if they don't, it's hard to put some trust in such a system, especially with the newer models.
