Has anyone replaced their dash lights. The ones that are on the LCD section of my forester 2005/2006 dash. Also can you use LED's even with the dimmer function?

A while ago the backlight on my dashboard clock display stopped working. I was told that to fix it the whole dashboard had to be replaced. Needless to say I didn't get it fixed.

I tried but couldn't find any led suitable in terms of size to replace the bulbs

Since the SG has the T10 and T5 incandescent bulbs, I would stick to using that type. When I had my Scepter, I tried many LED alternatives but they all produced hot spots. I just used the incandescent ones and just changed the silicone bulb sleeve to change colour from green to orange. It had a different colour but no hot spots. That's the easy replacement option. Cheers.
