SF Forester towing small boat

I have an SF forester non-turbo and I am thinking of buying a small runabout fibreglass hull or a 4m aluminium dinghy.

Just wondering if my SF could safely tow these boats? Without putting to much strain on the engine?

As long as it's under 700kg loaded for the trailer & boat no problems at all I reckon.
If you wanted to go fast might be a different matter..
You should have a plate somewhere (door jam?) that says towing capacity etc.

SF5 factory Hayman Reese towbar with tongue from 98 model. compliance plate on towbar.

750kg without brakes
1600kg braked.

I never said the ej20 was happy towing that much.
