What have you done to your car today?

imag0239cw.jpg

Full to the roof and upto drivers seats. Still some room left to fit the superchargers when I pick them up tomorrow :D

I was at the pub last night and they even had the heaters on. In FEBRUARY of all months! I'm not complaining though- I prefer it.
I'm with you on that one Rally.
I'll take the cooler weather over a hot summers day at any time :)

I picked up my new bull bar yesterday
Fantastic :raz:
Can't wait to see a pic once you've fitted it

Also starting to pack the foz for the trip to Perth tomorrow. 7hour drive. I can't wait, I just want to keep driving.
Have a safe trip taza :)

Regards
Mr Turbo

Now your going to have to add your other 2" of lift, the bar, spotties, UHF and everything!!!
Didn't you say the car used to be your sisters? Its changing soo much, for the better

Yep sure is, actually her husband who passed away so she still has an emotional attachment to it...This is why I'm so paranoid bout not hurting it lol. Sure is changing Taza, I think the chrome will work with my silver body colour. Cant wait till I get it all fitted, rear locker would round it off nicely

Will you be looking for a set of alloy rims to really set her off or stick with the steelies?

Thanks mate. I would like to put on those SG 16" alloys with 215/70/16 tyres, but would need a few other things first, like SG rear struts, & a gearbox I wanna build up with either 12kg centre or locking centre, L-series low range & gears 1-4 (still to confirm this is possible) & higher diff ratios...

It looks terrific, mate :) .

I have been out buying some new work boots.

Got a REAL army disposal trenching tool that used to belong to Sgt Penders.

Thanks mate. Whats a "trenching tool"? Army speak for spade? lol

Yep thats pretty full lol, Good luck with the move. Drive carefully & I hope it all goes well

Thanks, I'll take photos of her naked, then with her new skirt fitted ;)

G'day again mate

Got a REAL army disposal trenching tool that used to belong to Sgt Penders. Well worn, but all metal. Just gave it a drink of machine oil at all the operative points, and it works like new again. Of course, it came in its purpose-built military belt pouch. Perfect.

Thanks mate. Whats a "trenching tool"? Army speak for spade? lol

It is a spade ...
BUT it folds up in three sections. When unfolded, there is a heavy duty screw that locks one part, locking the entire tool rigidly.

Unlike the civilian types, this is a serious digging tool - the sort you might want to have to hand when someone is shooting at you with a 50 cal. HMG ... It even has a return on the rear of the blade. It is SERIOUSLY strong. $29.95.

A great find, in amongst a whole lot of riff-raff masquerading as trenching tools ... :rotfl:.

Thanks, Sgt. Penders.

It also came with the original military soldier's belt case - worn, but still very serviceable.

If your gonna do this then you will defernately want more power  This is why I like my supercharger idea!! Can turn it on or off at a flick of a switch.

Safe travels Taza.

Nice looking bar Nacha but I'd stick with the steel rims.

I'll be seeing my new car on Tuesday and picking up/fitting 32l engel, sump and diff guards, CB, rooftop tent, strut brace and hopefully subaxtreme bullbar on my way down the east coast. Then the big trip west.

Can't wait.

Awesome, you're getting her fully decked out!

So you still seen photos though...I'm sure from many angles haha.

I bet you'll be like a kid on Xmas eve...cant get to sleep, too excited lol :monkeydance:

I was thinking the very same thing

Ive got a few shots from Dave, engine and underbody mostly.
Nothing nice enough to tempt me to learn how to post picks yet however.

I should have subtle 1" blocks waiting for me when I get back to Perth, and if I can wear out the tires in 1 5000km trip, I'll get a nice set of tyres.

215/75/16 will give me a longer footprint but have a negative effect on gear ratios.

I guess when the pressures are low the ratio will come back somewhat.

I'd prefer to run 15s but I believe there are clearance issues with the front calipers.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Cheers.

Take care mate

Safe travels Taza.

Nice looking bar Nacha but I'd stick with the steel rims.

Just changing from 215/60 16" to 205/70 15" would cost me around $2400, including (say) Bridgestone D694 LT off-road tyres.

Makes a set of Yokohama 215/60 16" at $900 look positively cheap ...

Safe trip to you to Stilson.

If you are coming via Melbourne (or hereabouts ... ), send me a PM and we can meet up.

You won't fit 15" without some modification. You also won't fit 215/75R16 but will fit 215/70R16 which are 29" compared to the stock 27".

Some Geolander AT-S tyres would go nicely on there :iconwink:

When you get back we will have to do a powerlines trip with a heap of us Subaru guys in Perth! Should be sweet  I reckon we could get 10 cars with us more 'spirited guys' other than the club. Also ive been told of som awesome mud spots too for in winter :lildevil:

Two silver Foresters exactly the same would be awesome :D

When measuring up my cars sag just before dark its down almost 40mm from the front
And they are 240lbs heavy diuty springs. Kings are only 180lbs.... Damn, time for antoher 1 lift in the back just to keep things more even when loaded up :raspberry:

There must be abit of weight in there as ive never had it sag that much, even when towing and a semi full load.
