Need to find a bullbar

Having trouble finding a second hand bullbar in NSW for my 2005 MY06 forester. I was wondering if anyone had some experience (or bullbars) to impart

I've also been looking into getting a bullbar not meant for the forester and modifying it to fit

We usually put MY in the profile; mine was manufactured and purchased in 2002 and is an MY'03.

commonly called a SG series II, I believe because mechanically they're virtually the same (Although a difference in the the engine?).

Yes, different engine for the na and a different output for the turbo.

Does anyone here know of anyone who has gotten a bullbar from another vehicle and retrofit it to sit on an SGII forester? I found 1 video of a guy mounting a bullbar from a D22 navara onto his SF

"Someone" did this recently but I'm having trouble finding the thread and not sure which forum; it may have been the one you mention above.

You can fit a 100 Series bar on one in the same way you can fit any bullbar on any car - custom fabricated mounts. I'm not sure if there's a specific write up on it. If you're good at metal work anythings possible, just find a similar sized bar. If you're paying for fab work you will be getting close to new Irvin/Subaxtreme costs anyway, which would be more legal.
