My foz currently has badly leaking HG's and has 250xxx, so seeming the engine was coming out anyway, I decided it would be best to drop in a low km engine instead.

I plan on doing:
  • Engine Gasket Kit
  • Timing Belt & Water Pump
  • Clutch

Is there any other parts that I should replace whilst the engine is out?

Yep, that was going to be included in the Timing Belt replacement. Have already done 3 timing belt/water pumps on EJ25's easy as to do now!

I'm not sure what a 'gasket set' comprises - I assume sump, rocker covers and spark plug seals - all essential.

I'd also be doing front and rear main seals, cam seals if you're keen (sprockets can be a bugger to get off), and checking the oil separator plate, too.

other stuff:
Machine flywheel, new engine mounts, while the engine's out - replace steering rack mounting bushes and check/replace boots and tie-rod ends as required (easy to just pull the rack out to look it over).

cam and crank seals along with tensioner and pulleys. Use genuine everything

Duncamm, this is the part listing for the Genuine Engine Overhaul Gasket & Seal Kit (PN: 10105AA980) - Note diagram is for the Turbo model , but the majority of main engine gaskets will be the same

Rally, I was planning on doing everything genuine, and Exeedy Clutch, Tensioner/Pulleys are part of the timing belt kit, and will definitely be replaced
