I've got a 1986 Subaru GL that I will be lifting soon(4"). What rims should I use to get up to 15" from 13"? This special subaru bolt pattern sucks!

I've seen some comments about Sunraiser or Sunraysia rims? I've seen people have been using them. How much do they cost and are they available in Canada?

I'm not too concerned about the looks of the rims. I just want something that will fit. I will be painting the car military green and the rims will be painted or powder coated black.

G'day Luke & :welcome: to ORS .
I'll be looking forward to see your Subi & the 4'' lift once it's in. :raz:

:welcome:Luke!!!

There are some older Peugeot 15" rims in the same bolt pattern that a lot of folks use on the old GL's. Sorry, but I don't recall any of the specifics (year, model) of the cars they came off of.

A much bigger$$$ option Allied Amament offer a 15" wheel set.

Another option is to change the stud spacing. A friend of mine took every thing to a machine shop and had it made to 4X100(?), and ran some steel Honda wheels.

Unfortunately I'm a Canadian College student so everythings working against me. I'm trying to keep this project really budget friendly. I've never even seen a Peugeot around here. I called the auto wreckers and none of them have peugeots.

Thats where these sunnie rims really caught my interest. But I can't find anything on them.

Can you search across the boarder??? There hasn't been Peugeot in the states for years, but they were here for a while, from what I understand, they all ended up at the wreckers pretty quickly.

I tried looking around for these rims you mentioned, with all the different spellings and couldn't come up with anything. If they are Australian, the Allied ones might be a better bet just due to the shipping. Was it maybe the Scorpion wheels you were talking about???

Those are them. I just got a hold of a guy today that might have some 14" peugot rims for me though. Hes parting out a car with 14" steel rims on it. 15" rims would be the best but I can use 14's as well

Good luck with the Peugeot rims, hopefully they are the right ones.:)

I don't know what part of Canada your in, but wouldn't the French part of Canada have had Peugeot imported??? I think the alloy Peugeot rims might have been 15".

They should work. The only problem is I can't find any good tires in a 14 other than a 27" super swamper. I was hoping to go with a 28 or 29" tire and just a regular light truck tire. I've heard super swampers dont' hold up well on the highway.

Super Swampers are not going to hold up on the highway. What about just keeping two sets of wheels/tires and swapping them out when your going off-road?

The trouble is I'm a university student. Every once and a while I get an assignment back and I feel compelled to go burry it in deepest mud basin I can find. Or today for example my brother called me while I was at a university racing team meet(in the shop) and he was stuck. I had to go drive into the middle of a field and pull out his toyota.

I would really like to get a street series of offroad tire but I can't find any in a 14".

Something like this:
