Opinions on 225/60 17 A/T Tyres

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for some opinions on the available A/T tyres in 225 60 17 for my MY15 Forester.

I have found the following tyres available for the Forester

Pirelli Scorpion ATR
Yokohama Geolander ATS
Bridgestone Dueler A/T D697

I used to have the Michelin Latitude Cross on my MY 10 Forester which were fantastic. But I can't get them for the MY15.

Ideally I do about a 70% on road 30% off road mix.

I favour Bridgestone Dueler A/T D697; members of our local Subie club have had a really good run with them.

Definitely not the Geolander ATS. This is an old model and I have found the cornering and braking sub-par. Pirelli Scorpion ATR is also at least a 10 year old model and reviewers complain of punctures (on trucks).

I suggest looking for the brand new Continental AT Terrain Contact. May not be available in Australia just yet but it looks very, very promising:

The D697 is not sold in the US and I cannot comment.

If 225 65 17 is an option, there is a brand new Yokohama all terrain called G015. This should be a significant improvement over the ATS.
