Forester rear cargo mat to stop stuff slipping around

Hey Phizinza,

I have not tried that particular cargo mat, but the Subaru cargo mat i have keeps things in place. Only problem is the mat itself slides around.

I just bought a couple meters of grip mat from bunnings and cut it to fit, think it was about 15 bucks a few years back.

How about a chair mat from Officeworks? They come with carpet spikes that locate them. An office chair + occupant is a far greater point loading than anything any of us will ever have in our cars.

Check the spike depth, and avoid the really sharp ones!

Then again that mat is only 30 bucks, may as well take a chance, even if it doesn't stop too much sliding around it'll still protect the back from spills and stuff.

Yesterday at bunnings I picked up a 1x1m rubber floor tile for $33. Does the job.

Some good ideas, I'll have to check out the grippiness of some of those products. I'll be putting the Bunnings ute tray mat in the Brumby when I can afford it, but I like the idea of a solid mat in the Forester.
