Okay, so I'm really excited to learn these cars, and I've already done a ton of research with lifting the GC/GF chassis.

I'm hoping someone can help me determine if I should use Forester struts/springs to lift, versus Legacy Outback struts and springs? I've heard a lot of people go with the Forester setup, but I don't want to get into subframe spacing, etc. I just want MAYBE 2" of additional lift to take it on some light trails and/or fields, in the easiest way possible.

Does anyone here know of a successful Legacy Outback setup? I've heard this is a direct swap, but the thread I was reading just...ended without confirmation... Also, I heard something about the Forester spring being softer than the Legacy Outback? And the Forester hub attachment is 1" less than the Legacy Outback?

Like I said, I'm new to all of this and would greatly appreciate ANY input on a small lift for my Impreza. Pls help.

Well, two out of three main producers of Subaru lifts in the US are in OR. These are Patrick Anderson fabrications and Primitive racing. They can offer ready kits, I guess. If you wanna go you own route, you will spend a lot of time learning stuff. My 2c.

Also, 2" is not a small lift for a Subie at all. It is generally considered the maximum for non-toy cars.

Hey, I appreciate the reply. I'm still just learning things, but I've checked both vendors before and they only offer strut spacers. My goal includes slightly larger tires, not simply ride height, so strut spacers aren't going to work for me, I think. Unless I pair them WITH Forester/Leg Outback struts/springs...

I'd suggest SG XT Forester struts/springs to give you ~1.5" lift. Also use Forester trailing arm brackets to keep the rear wheels centred
