Is it worth putting a bigger exhaust on the back of my 04 X model to get that nice WRX sound? :)

I know it sounds great on the XT model, but how about the X?

i don't think the question is if its worth it...it's more the question of do you want a nicer sounding car that you can hear running???

I'm a big fan of nice exhaust notes...i'm trying to find out how to get the sound i want at the moment.

Speaking of wanting a certain sound, heard this story years ago, and even if it isn't true, it is still amusing. This bloke walks into this mate of mine's workshop and says he has just fitted a BOV to his car, but it doesn't make the right sounds. So my mate the mechanice goes over, lifts the bonnet and has a quick look underneath, shuts the bonnet and walks back and says he knows why the BOV isn't sounding right. He says to the customer, "Well, to make it sound right first you have to fit a turbo to the car"!

Hope you find the exhaust sound you are looking for.

You won't get the WRX sound on an X. A lot of that sound comes from having the turbo in the exhaust system. However, equal length headers, a high flow cat, and 2.5" cat back with a resonator would sound pretty sic.
