Hi all,

As seems to be the pattern here, I've now got two L-series Sportswagons! :monkeydance: My "brought back to life one" and now I've picked up another one, mainly because it was a bit of a bargain and had really low kms. It's another 1991 Sportswagon, white (but with different decals) and only 115,000km on it. So I'm told, it was literally owned by a 90 year old lady and has been in the same family since new. Its definitely been well cared for, and it shows. :)

Not sure what I'll do now, perhaps keep the first one or maybe sell it...to be honest, this one is in a bit better condition than my present one! Sounds terrible but it's true.

So what is the problem? Two L Series, another subie, and another car again. Sounds about right. :):cool:

Agree!

You can have the best of both worlds - a beauty AND a (an offroad) beast

I did the same thing a number of years ago - purchased a second as it was a great deal at the time. Then I couldn't part with my current one. In a strange twist of events Beigewagon ended up purchasing it from me via ebay!

How's that subi going anyway BW?

Cheers

Bennie

Lol yes if I had the space for two that would be perfect! Sadly I don't :(

Bennie,

It is still going strong. It is now my everyday travel to work car. I needed a spare when I was going to EJ22 the Beigewagon, then bought a turbo wagon from QLD, because I thought the EJ coversion would take too long, anf the turbo already would have more power, or at least the wiring for most of an EJ instead.

In then end, the Beigewagon is still carby EA82, and the turbo is sitting unreg. doing nothing, becoming a garden ornament. I should sell it.

Beigewagon.

Question - with my "new" car, there seems to be a different starter motor in it, and another 91 I test drove. The new one is a 12/91 complied car and my old one is a 4/91 complied, not sure of the actual build dates though.

Did Subaru upgrade the starter motor in 1991? It's a vastly different sound and operation. Plus to grille is now colour coded...very important ;)
