Hello offroadsubies, this is my first post here, and am planning on turning my street-ified 2005 Impreza Wrx sedan into an off road machine and wondering if 235/60/16 Yokohama Geolandar A/t-s tires would fit on my Impreza.
Right now my 05 Wrx sedan is "lowered" 1/2 an inch on Sti take off springs, Kyb Excel G struts, GroupN top hats and 225/45/17 on oem 06-07 Wrx 17" wheels. I just picked up some oem 02-04 Wrx 16" wheels and hopefully soon some King raised springs and front/4eat/rear diff skid plates.
I have seen quite a few Imprezas running 215/60/16 Geolanadars and 215/65/16 Grabbers, even on stock height. I want a little wider but cannot find a single 225/60/16 AT tire, but have seen 235/60/16 ATs, but not sure if they would fit.
Anyone have any experience with 235/60/16's preferably on an Impreza?
If they are too wide I will just settle with the 215/60/16's, unless a 5mm wheel spacer will make the 235 fit w/o rubbing. I dont plan to dd the AT tires, just put them on when I decide to go "offroading" in mud or on the beach.
Thanks everybody!
