Speaker sizes

Gday all
Can someone tell me what diameter the front & rear speakers are in a 2004 model forester?
Do they have to have a shallow mounting depth?
Only asking cause i dont want to pull the door cards off just to measure.

Yeah I've just been googling this. Fronts are 6.5", rears are 5.25". You can't fit really deep speakers since the window drops down behind it. Best to use a spacer for any speaker install.

Your right about speaker depth in the front, but their is heaps of room in the back doors cause the window doesnt go all the way down.
The speakers i put in have a depth of 43mm in the front & 57mm in the back. They were screwed to the door metal, but i might try modifying the speaker mounts in the front to hold my new speakers so they will be angled like originals.
They make a big difference to the 10W & 15W (max) single cone originals!!
