I didn't realise that Foresters went up two tires from 07 to now. 215/55r17 to 225/55r18 is an increase in diameter of 36mm which isn't actually legal on an ADR catergory MA vehicle like a forester.

As this was planned for the wife's car I might keep all the mods above board.
 
^ Both of ours have "MC" on the compliance plate ... :biggrin:.
 
Well there you go... it never pays to assume anything does it? After all these years of running a lifted Liberty I just assumed my new Foz was also class MA. Heck, I turns out I actually own an off-road vehicle now!

That said, the rubber on those new 18"s are still to big for daily driving on the wife's XT. They would look good but increase fuel consumption and decrease acceleration unnecessarily. They would also rub on full lock too which is a bad thing because she loves to hold the steering wheel hard against the stop despite my continued reminders to relax it a bit.
