bugs through the moonroof

ok not an infestation, but I have fitted a roof rack a while back and now we are having good weather decided to drive with the moonroof open..... lordy lordy lordy.
critters are hitting the bars and falling all over me, the missus and everything else.
im going to attempt to make a deflector of some sort, but does/has anyone else suffered with this in the past.
