So, back to the winch idea, what winch are you thinking of? Would the combined weight of the custom bumper and winch be substantially higher? Are you worried at all about airbag operation?

Just gonna run a harbor freight whatever 9k winch. its twice the car weight, will work fine for what i need for self recovery using a snatch block.

it would be slightly higher, im saying maybe 100 lbs. ill dump 25 or so getting rid of stock fogs and assy, front bumper support and 3/4 of the stock bumper, so its going to be a bit heavier.

HOWEVER, i am swapping to king springs (have a set sitting here waiting for a lift kit), so it will handle the weight without an issue. but the approach angle that i gain will also make it well worth it.
