Can somebody tell me how much wheeltravel the rear suspension has from a '99 SF fozzy fitted with SG type KYB shocks? I would like to measure if my rear wheels hit the body or not. 225 75 15 on VW gti rims and 4cm lift block.
235-75-15 touches the spring perch with SG shocks, 225 should be a tight fit but possible as far as i can see. Or am i wrong?

I know that 215 75 15 fit the SG struts but not sure about the 225 75 15 without wheel spacers.

But what is the incidence of the wheel travel ? I don't understand.

Sorry, for me that's the trouble of writing in English while it's not your mother language.

I try to fit a 235-75-15 or 30inch on my suby. It hits the lower springperch a bit with a tyre which is 50% worn. To make it fit then i will have to move the wheel +/- 3cm outwards.

The wheel will stick partly outside the body, which is fine with me. But i want to know if the rear wheel is able to touch the body then when the suspension is compressed. Then i know how much i have to remove from the body or i decide to go for smaller tyre.
The smaller tire doesn't have my preference while offroading here in holland is mostly a muddy activity, with deep tracks made by the landrover and toyota guys with their big wheels.

30inch on my suby would make offroading a bit easier for me.

The gearing with the big tires with the 4.444 final and the 1.59 lowgear would be oke imo

Ok, I understand !

You want to put some wheel spacers to clear the spring perch but the bigger tires might touch the fenders on full compression even with 4cm strut blocks….hmmm, I don't know, maybe ask "Tintfreak" on www.subaruforester.org as he has very big wheels and spacers on his SF.

I have about 15mm clearance from a 215/75/15 muddie (deep tread) under the spring perch (SG struts) so 225/75/15 I'm sure would fit as long as it clears the side of the strut.

You could put a jack under the hub and jack it up till the other rear wheel starts to lift. This would be close to maximum compression
