just picked up some springs... SF or SG?

Just picked up some pedders springs with the code 7708 and another code, 19.02.2008, which i assume is a date. A quick google search shows that the 7708 springs were for SGs between 03 and 08..

The springs came from an SF, and they guy was advertising the springs as SF, so would you say they are SF or SG? If SG, then I don't have to worry about strut hats for the rear.

Looking at the Pedders web site, they seem to be only for SG.

I had a look at the boxes my Pedders came in, and there is nothing to suggest that they use or do not use this part number spring.

I was led to believe by Pedders that the springs in mine are about 17% heavier duty than the OEM springs, but are also a variable rate, rather than a heavier duty spring as such. AFAICS, this is the way they behave in use, but who knows?

Hmm.. I'll just have to try with and without SF hats.. How will I know if it fits either strut hat?

I reckon it will be pretty obvious if they aren't the right size, mate.

If they are SG springs, they apparently won't fit SF top hats, and vice versa.

If they are supposed to give a 2" lift, they are not going to be the same springs as mine ...
