When I had it jacked at the rear, if I turned a wheel the opposite wheel would turn the same way. Now it doesn't, it turns the opposite way.

Could this be a case of the wax in the LSD being past it?

Also, jacked left side only, and wheel would turn with little resistance.

Anyone know anything about this?

What sort of LSD do you have in the rear?

A vLSD behaves exactly the same as an open diff when turned by hand. It's only when under power that the non-Newtonian fluid in a vLSD becomes viscous enough to lock. The power must be applied asymetrically in order for the fluid to be heated and become more viscous. When this occurs, it causes the multiple plates in the vLSD unit to become locked together by the increased viscosity of the silicone based fluid. This prevents the opposite wheel from free spinning, applying power equally to both wheels.

A plated LSD shouldn't flog out like that. I'd pop the rear cover off and check what type of LSD it is... could be wrong oil or may need adjusting.

I always thought it was vlsd. Will have to crack it open.

Hmm, might have to talk to you about that...
