EJ18 Intake Manifold

Hey guys,
I decided to get some Phenolic Manifold Spacers while I was fitting them I must have over tightened the front bolt and cracked my manifold. are there other manifolds that will bold straight up with no fuss EJ20, EJ22? or do I have to get an EJ18 Specific manifold? how much am I look at? anybody got one laying around Brisbane/Goldcoast area?
 
RB is probably on the money there. It probably wouldn't cost you anymore than a S/H manifold.
 
From my experience, many (most?) wreckers seem to charge around 50% of new price for any part in good condition, so getting it welded should be a lot cheaper.

Wreckers are also unlikely to sell you part of an engine IME.

Certainly worth looking at both avenues though.
 
ouch, I did something similar on my first car at age 17. Replaced the rocker cover gasket on my `76 Corona's 2 litre motor and misread the torque rating by a factor of 10 I think. Cracked the rocker cover completely. Luckily I got one from a wrecker for a price I could afford and swapped it over without my Dad even finding out - I'd only recently taken over the car from him and he would have been pissed off!
I'd ring around few wreckers or even look for someone wrecking a car, you might get lucky and score one for cheap.
Otherwise yeah, I expect a welding job might also be affordable.
 
Thanks guys, I have phoned a few wreckers and found one at a price am happy to pay
there was a EJ22 manifold on eBay that ended and was pretty cheap but from what I understand it wouldn't work on the EJ18.

the 18R motors in there are a good little motor, my dad and I use to race them in speedway when I was growing up.

i hope i have done a good enough job with fixing this. after driving all the way from Melbourne 6 months ago i have decided to go back so it needs to last the trip back :)
