If you trek through the associated linked info at that site, you'll discover that it requires a 3G connection. Why? A big-brother rear link to their server, where they can (and presumably do) record all sorts of stuff. See the reference to the 3G after several bits including the reference to "driver behaviour" and the "last hour of driving". Insurance companies already use whatever they can glean from the vehicle systems to analyse whether you were being naughty before a prang. Now they use YOUR 3G to keep them updated.</tinfoil_hat>
