I've had a few inquires lately regarding the checker plate that sits just under my bullbar so I thought I'd show & share this mod with everyone.
After putting on the SubaXtreme bullbar, I didn't like the idea of having a large gap under & just behind the bullbar, that left the radiator being some what exposed to the possibility of being damaged. IE tree branches etc.
The checker plate guard also helps to push the water away from the engine bay during creek crossings aswell.
To do this mod, I just bought a piece of checker plate (5mm-6mm) from a local hardware store, put a couple of bends in it, & bolted it on in front of the SubaXtreme sump guard. And presto, it's done.
