A few pics from the recent trip to Mt.Cole.

What would a trip be without Bennie doing repairs!

Bennie going down a steep rocky track (I think Green Range Tr):

A fourbie got stuck on Victoria Mill Tr:

We thought it amusing he had to winch when our little Subies made it up no problem. As usual, this 4wd boofhead thought he could do it without airing down, relying on his 4wd instead of his own skill!

Venom wasn't immune from roadside repairs. Here he is removing a stone that was caught between the caliper & the wheel:

Packing on the last day. Not as much flex as I would like but not bad considering the lift & HD springs:

Btw, I should prob also mention I also had mechanical probs...my radiator inlet pipe cracked & crushed, resulting in a big cloud of steam & the loss of ~2L of precious Subaru genuine coolant. As I didnt have enough coolant in the car to top up this much, I had to use water which has now diluted the remaining coolant, so when I swap in the new radiator I'll have to replace all the coolant :(

This looks cool! Love to have a crack at it, and yeah I reckon you would have sailed right up there too!

Bennie sailed up it with a heap of momentum, Venom was the first to try & had a few cracks at it then came back down to air down more (he went down to 18psi & I went down to 20psi with my muddies). Then with a little more momentum he made it easy, so did I although I prob used too much momentum & nearly collected the bank!:rotfl:

Note the hooded vagabond hiding behind the tree :raz::lol:

An interesting Tree we found on a short walk to a rocky outcrop that I forget the name of (Nachaluva??).

One of the locals - odd to see them out when it was so bitterly freezing with that wind!

Nachaluva further down the track - pretty much just sliding down this section:

^ We watched two lifted rigs fly up this track - and can see why tracks rut out so quickly with that sort of use; their super chunky tyres moved a lot of mud!

Not a great image to finish off with, but this is happening again in this area - pretty indiscriminate :(

Good times had. Keen to get out again and have a go at some of those nastier tracks going up. Kind of wish I had a go at the one that the other two vehicles went up. A rear locker would've worked very well on that track :D

I'll have to find some time to sort out my video footage... Give me a year :p

Cheers

Times like these, i think the forum needs a "like" button!

110% agree with Pezimm, thats an epic photo and an awesome fozzie

Thanks guys. Yeah I like that action shot...all 4 muddies spinning. Few spots I was going sideways lol :iconwink:

I dont know any spots like this in SA, but you're very lucky to be so close to Robe, etc for their great beaches & dunes. And the Flinders & Gannon ranges for their rocky tracks & awesome views & history

Love to find some spots like this around Adelaide.
Any one know of any?

There's one about 6ish hours away at Mt Cole  :poke:

Sorry, couldn't help my self!

Cheers
